Leisure
Hybrids are the jack of all, master of none, but that's not always a bad thing.
With their road bike size wheels and wider tyres they are very capable in many situations. Our leisure hybrids typically have a nice upright riding position, wide saddles, high rise bars and enough gears to get you where you need to be. Good for short rides where speed and efficiency take a back seat to comfort and visibility.
Leisure hybrids offer great value for money for someone looking a do it all bike with the emphasis on tarmac riding.
Sports
Hybrids are the jack of all, master of none, but that's not always a bad thing. With their road bike size wheels and wider tyres they are very capable in many situations.
Our sports hybrids typically have thinner tyres than leisure hybrids but not as thin as racing bikes. The riding position will be longer and more laid out than leisure bikes with narrower saddles and lower front ends. The emphasis for a sports hybrid is still comfort but with a nod to speed and efficiency.
Sports hybrids are good for long rides on tarmac or short rides on rougher tracks. Low rise or flat bars mean you will be in a better riding position for speed and distance but will sacrifice a bit of comfort. For rides of one hour plus we would strongly suggest the addition of bar ends to give you multiple hand positions.
Traditional
Hybrids are the jack of all, master of none, but that's not always a bad thing. With their road bike size wheels and wider tyres they are very capable in many situations.
Our traditional hybrids are just like the one your mum used to ride. A nice upright riding position, wide saddles, high rise bars and enough gears to get you where you need to be. The inclusion of racks and full guards means you have everything out of the box. Good for short rides where speed and efficiency take a back seat to comfort and visibility, leisure hybrids offer great value for money for someone looking a do it all bike with the emphasis on tarmac riding.
