Real cycles we specialise in sending bikes and large bulky
items all over the UK & Europe. We've been doing
it since 2000 and to date we have sent thousands of bikes to
every corner and Europe and beyond. All items sent will require the signature of the person placing the order and unless 3D Secure (also known as Visa Verified) is used at checkout, bikes can only be sent to the credit/debit card holders register address. Delivery times vary greatly depending on the item purchased and delivery location, in most cases it is between 5-10 days, but can be more. If the arrival of your item is time critical we suggest contacting us first. Why so long for delivery? First and foremost every single bike sold is first built and tested by us. This takes time. Also, we are based on an island (Ireland) and this occasionally means we are subject to freak weather conditions, it is unusual but does happen. Also, the boxes we ship our bikes in are big, really BIG. This means it can take longer for them to pass through the various depots en-route to you. Generally though we find most of our customers are happy to wait a bit longer for their new bike when they are making such a great saving. Failed Deliveries We are unable to give timed deliveries. We could offer it as an extra chargable service, but the reality is things can go wrong, so no carrier can guarantee 100% a date and time. If we charged you for such a service we would be oliged to guarantee it, and we can't, so we don't. Most of our deliveries can be tracked to your door (we send out the tracking information once the item leaves us) so by regularly checking our carriers website you will be able to gauge when it is due for delivery, but in the event there is no one in when the driver calls, in most cases they will leave a card. You should then contact the local depot (number on the card) to arrange a re-delivery. If the drivers attempts to deliver and fails three times the item will be returned to ourselves. At this point we can arrange a new delivery, but you will be charged our standard delivery fee. There are no exceptions to this rule. Alternative delivery address If it's a problem having someone at home to take delivery we are happy to delivery to an alternative address, this can be specified at checkout. Please note for this service you MUST complete 3D Secure (also known as Visa Verified) whilst paying. Under no circumstances will any bike be left without the purchasers signature and the goods visably being taken into the delivery address. Delivery Charges All items in our website are individually priced, scroll to the bottom of the spec listing to see our standard shipping costs. For items delivered to Europe or outside our standard delivery zones simply add the item to your basket and select your destination. The charge will be added to your order. |
